Greetings students of Cyberland!
So I highly doubt anyone checks this over the summer, but I thought I would just check in and say that I hope you're having a wonderful summer. As the summer months pass slowly by, I hope you are taking moments out of your day to enjoy a little recreational reading and writing. I've been doing both; I'm working on writing for a young adult novel, and I'm currently reading a nonfiction book on astrophysics...I know. I'm a geek. My next book will probably be The Dead by Charlie Higson, which is the sequel to The Enemy. Maybe I'll bike over to The Book Stall and pick it up next week.
Many changes and exciting additions to the English curriculum are coming up next year, as well as all the standards you love (I'll start printing up fresh E-Bucks in August. Have YOU been grammar warriors this summer?). Of course, WordMasters will be back since I know you all love it so much (insert sarcastic smile here), and I can't wait to get back to regular journal writing with you guys.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of your summer! Can't wait to see you guys in the fall and to meet a whole new group of 7th grade students!
