Today we did an activity to practice being clear, descriptive, and specific in our writing. Next, we did a speed writing activity to generate ideas for our introductory poem. Students had the last fifteen minutes of class to write their introductory poems, and then we ended class by sharing 1-3 lines from our poems with the class.
