Today we began class by taking a second formative assessment on phrases and clauses. This helped me to place you in groups for the day. After that, students reviewed their grammar homework in groups. Once they were done reviewing their homework and asking any questions needed, the students were broken into three groups to work on the following activities.

The identifying group received a flow chart to help distinguish the differences between phrases and clauses, and they then used this flow chart to work on more sample problems.

The discovering group made practice questions which you will find below.

The generating group made slightly more difficult practice questions which you will also find below.
