Today we took the preassessment for the science fiction unit which will begin in a few weeks. Next, students had time to complete their reading in The Book Thief for Friday. While they were reading, I pulled groups aside to work on the following annotation concepts: dehumanization, hiding, microcosm, and personification. These groups were determined based on the annotations check-ins you did last week. The materials for each small group are available by clicking on the name of each annotation concept above.
