Today we did reading and recall for our person-action-person stories

-Post WM word response on Schoology

-Read mentor text and respond to discussion question on Schoology

Long term due dates...

-Final essay draft due to Schoology for Wednesday and bring the rough draft packet to class on Wednesday

AQD= Analyze your quote directly

Usually this means that you are not staying focused on your quote during analysis. Also, you may need to use language from the quote in your analysis if your are not already doing so.

RTT= Relate to thesis

This means that you aren't connecting the analysis in your body paragraphs back to the overall message of your thesis.

WC= Word choice

This means that the word you are using is either overly casual, not being used correctly, or could be replaced by a stronger and more sophisticated word.

TS= Topic sentence

This either means that there is no topic sentence present or that it needs some serious rethinking

VSS= Varied sentence structure

This often means that you're using too many simple sentences in a row.

AWK= Awkward wording

Reword this section for more clarity.

FRAG= Fragment

This is not a sentence, dude.

SP= Spelling

This word is not spelled correctly

Q=Quote

Used as shorthand when I mean to say "quote"

BP=Body Paragraph

Used as shorthand when I mean to say "body paragraph"

CVT=Consistent Verb Tense
Verb tense should be consistently present tense or past tense unless you are intentionally switching.
